There was a flower
A solitary flower
Who preened and fooled
Her suitors be
To laugh and bleed and
Scatter roses
At her feet
But the one she longed for
The one she saw
Her eye he did not meet
And the flower wilted
That solitary flower
Choked on tears
She could not weep
